Samsung is working on several new J Series smartphones, Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6. Both the Samsung’s Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 spotted on Geekbench benchmark website, now the another Samsung device has appeared on Geekbench with an SM-J800FN model number. The spotted SM-J800FN model number is expected to be a Galaxy J8 2018. The benchmark website also revealed some specs of the phone.
According to the Geekbench database, The Galaxy J8 2018 with model number SM-J800FN is powered by the Samsung’s own Octa-core Exynos 7870 processor under the hood just like the Galaxy J6 2018, spotted on Geekbanceh a few days ago. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, 3 GB of RAM on board. The company used the Octa-core Exynos 7870 processor in last year J series smartphones, Samsung Galaxy J5 2017, Galaxy J7 2017 and Galaxy J7 Prime.
The upcoming Galaxy J8 2018 phone has similar specs compared to the current Galaxy J7 smartphone and other J series smartphones. It looks like the company probably completely renew its Galaxy J-series smartphone this year for a specific market or a retailer. The spotted Galaxy J8 2018 smartphone scored 728 points in single core test and 3683 points in multi-core test on Geekbench benchmark.
The appeared Galaxy J8 2018 smartphone on Geekbench website is expected to be a mid-range phone. For now, it’s unclear when exactly Samsung will unveil it and what price tag. But there is no doubt that the Samsung will launch new Galaxy J series 2018 smartphones very soon.
There was another Samsung Galaxy J8 model also spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon SoC on the board, so-called Galaxy J8 Plus. Samsung spotted device comes with SM-J805G model number and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It is powered by Qualcomm msm8953 Snapdragon 625 processor under the hood along with same 3 GB of RAM.
The company already released a couple of device with Snapdragon 625 chipset back in 2016, Samsung Galaxy C7 and Galaxy On7.
The Galaxy J8 SM-J805G model number device scored 749 points in the single-core test while in the multi-core test, it scored 3708 points.
Recently, The Galaxy J series smartphones for this year have been spotted on Geekbench database. But there is no information when they will be launched officially.
