OnePlus 5T set to launch on 16th November

After many rumors and speculations, OnePlus has finally announced the official launch date for the new flagship device OnePlus 5T which will be replacing the current flagship OnePlus 5.

OnePlus 5T has attracted many rumors and we recently covered most of these recently in an article. The device is supposed to have an 18:9 screen ratio and might ditch the alert slider which has been around since OnePlus’s initial days. Since the device might have trimmed bezels, OnePlus will probably shift the fingerprint scanner to the back and will have only on-screen navigation buttons ending another trademark feature of providing both hardware and on-screen navigation buttons. Nothing is sure though until the device is launched which will happen on 16th November.

OnePlus has partnered with Amazon India to sell the device in India. The flash sale will happen on 21st November with regular sales starting from 28th November.

With the launch of OnePlus 5T, the company has adopted a new marketing strategy where they’re selling tickets to allow the fans to watch the unveiling of the device. The event will happen on 16th November in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets will cost $40 and you’ll be able to buy one from the event page starting tomorrow. In India, the company has partnered with PVR in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune for the fans to watch the live event on 16th November (21:30 IST) by paying 99 INR. The tickets for the same will be available on Bookmyshow starting tomorrow at 10 AM IST. For the people going to the theatres, OnePlus will be giving away a free Popcorn and Coke with OnePlus 2018 calendar worth 799 INR. So all in all this sounds like a pretty great deal. For those who can’t go to the theatres, OnePlus will be streaming the launch event as well. You can head to on 16th to watch the event live.

The biggest question about the newest launch is the price point. We have seen the company raising the price of its devices and it will be interesting to see if the company targets mid-range market or the premium segment in India.
