WhatsApp gets Picture in Picture Support for Video Calls for Android!

WhatsApp for Android was updated an bumped to version 2.17.323 which really introduced some handy features for the users on Android Platform . According to the changelog :

• Now you can post text-only updates to your status and they’ll be visible for 24 hours. Just tap the pencil icon in the Status tab, type what you’d like, and pick a background color or font of your choice.
• When in a video call, you can tap back to continue the video call in picture-in-picture mode (Android 8.0+).

Now, users can upload a text only story which will be visible for 24 Hours . PiP or Picture in Picture mode is made in order to make multitasking handling easy while a user is on a video call . It is worth nothing that the PiP feature will just work for those who are running Android Oreo Update on their devices as it uses some specific APIs that are introduced in Oreo update only .
