The highly rumored Snapdragon 670 is expected to be the new chipset from Qualcomm. It may arrive as the successor of the Snapdragon 660 chipset. This hyped chipset has been spotted with impressive scores on Geekbench.

It seems that Qualcomm may gauge the performance of the upcoming Snapdragon 670 on a testing device as it appeared on Geekbench. The test device runs on Android 8.1.0 Oreo and the sdm 670 (Snapdragon 670) chipset is coupled with 6GB of RAM.

This latest Snapdragon recorded a score of 1,863, in the single-core test. 5,256 in multi-core test, this chip is looking impressive. The clocking speed of the chipset is mentioned as 1.71 GHz.

SD 660 was famous for its unique attribute that effectively bridged the gap between the mid-range segment and the flagship one. It made use of custom Kyro cores and delivered benchmark figures on par with last-gen SoCs like the Snapdragon 820.

Qualcomm may also bring the Snapdragon 640 and 460 chipsets alongside the Snapdragon 670 into the platform.

Specs:

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 will feel like Snapdragon 845 but will be cheaper. According to the leaked information, it may have the capability of delivering flagship-like performance. A 10nm chipset that includes four Kryo 360 Gold cores and four Kryo 385 Silver cores along with Adreno 610 GPU graphics.

The SD670 chips are Snapdragon X16 LTE modem and Spectra 260 ISP with support for up to 26-megapixel camera or a pair of a 13- megapixel camera.

While single-core performance is close, the 670 chip has some disadvantages in multi-core. It fully surpasses the Snapdragon 821 in that department but falls just short when compared to the Snapdragon 835.
