Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS devices announced!

As we reported earlier, Microsoft has been planning to launch Edge Insider program sometime in October and today finally the company announced that Microsoft Edge is coming to Android and iOS devices as a part of Edge Insider Program.

As Microsoft’s today’s announcement, Microsoft Edge for iOS is available as a preview and can be downloaded right now on any iOS devices while it will be available soon as a preview for Android Devices.

Microsoft says “One of the most common requests we hear from people who use Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 PCs is “we want our browser experience to move to our phones”. You spoke, we listened.”

Some of the features that Edge supports the following features on Android and iOS :

  • Favorites
  • Reading List
  • New Tab Page
  • Reading View
  • Continue on PC which is a new feature for users on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

Favorites :

Mark your favorite websites on any device and find it synced and ready on a consistent experience on other devices .

Reading List :

When you find something interesting to read on the Internet, add it to your reading list to continue on other device later on.

New Tab Page :

You same New Tab Page experience now synced and customizable on your Phones and Tablets too .

Reading View :

Remove all the cluttering and annoying ads from your reading experience with some warm colors to comfort your eye in all new Reading View .

Continue on PC :

Find something interest while surfing on Mobile? Send it to your PC using the inbuilt Continue on PC features . It is worth noting that this only works with a phone paired to a PC running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
