Microsoft was rumored to release a Surface Mini Tablet with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 SoC with Windows RT in 2014 , Later, they cancelled the device due to internal reasons . Now, famous leakster, Evan Blass posted up some images of the cancelled device and its specifications providing us with a closer look at the devices .

We can observed that the device has 2 Variants with 1GB and 2GB RAM . The device supported Surface Pen and a kick stand with 3 fixed positions . The 1440 x 1080 px display had a 240ppi pixel density and a 5 point multi touch functionality .
The device was supposed to be released in 3 colors in the portfolio with one of them was red color while the other two were black and blue .

As Windows was not much compatible with ARM Processors in 2014, it would have not been a great idea to ship this device! But we really expect Microsoft to release a Windows 10 tablet like this device powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 in the near future with the release of Windows 10 on ARM .
